Enrollment Procedures during School Closures/Distance Learning

To support immediate enrollment district-wide for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, a dedicated email and website have been established by our district.

The website will provide information, procedures, and required documents for families to submit for enrollment.

Internet Connectivity Available for Students

Sutter MS Students: Get your iPads charged for school resuming with remote instruction! Please see the attached flyer for additional support from the District with internet connectivity. School personnel will be available to support you with technology issues. Please review previously posted messages for tech form links if you need a device or are having issues with your device. Attention Sutter MS Students and Families

School operations will pause to honor Cesar Chavez’s Birthday on Friday, April 3, and for spring break Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10, 2020. Please note that teachers are not expected to post additional assignments or answer messages in Schoology during this break period. If you have not previously completed prior assignments, please do so this week. School staff members will return to support students with technology issues when we return from break on Monday, April 13, 2020. This includes device problems, internet connections, and password resets.

Attention! Free Internet/WiFi Services Available Now

Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households. https://corporate.charter.com/newsroom/charter-to-offer-free-access-to-s.

Comcast is offering similar services to households to expansion of its Internet Essentials program. Learn more by calling 855-846-8376.

Verizon has tripling the data allowances for our Sutter students participating in the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools (VILS) program. No action on the part of participating students to take advantage of this benefit.

AT & T is temporarily lifting data caps, allowing existing customers to communicate with one another without concern for overages. Visit ATT.com to learn more.

School Closure through May 1st, 2020

As per LAUSD Superintendent, Mr. Austin Beutner, schools will remain closed through May 1st, 2020 and our district will be providing additional updates before then on next steps. For district updates, you can also visit LAUSD website at : www.lausd.net

Distance Learning Resources:

Grab & Go Meals:
Sutter Middle School is a designated Grab & Go Food Center and will provide free meals to students starting Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 7:00am-10:00am. Please enter through the Valerio Gate.
