All students must adhere to the Sutter Dress Code:
Clothing and/or backpacks must not contain any profanity; advertise alcoholic or controlled substance; or be offensive to any person.
Pants, Skirts, Skorts, & Shorts
- Must fit appropriately for school. Form fitting or oversized pants are not acceptable
- Nylon “warm ups” may only be worn in the PE classes with the teacher’s permission
- Pants must fit at the waist and not sag when the belt is removed
- Pant legs must be hemmed. Torn or frayed pant bottoms are not appropriate
- Shorts should be mid-thigh in length and hemmed at the bottom
- “Long” shorts are not allowed
- “Short-shorts” are not allowed
Shirts
- All shirts must fit appropriately for school
- Form fitting or oversized tops are not acceptable
- Only white undershirts or Tee shirts may be worn under the top
- All tops must have sleeves
- Tops must be solid in color and be long enough to cover the midriff
- Sports jerseys are not permitted except in PE classes with the teacher’s permission
- School team or class shirts may be worn on special days only
Shoes
- Style: Any closed-toed shoe with a full back (no straps)
- Heels cannot be more than 1 1/2 inches high
- NO SANDALS, SLIPPERS, OR BACKLESS SHOES
Jackets & Sweatshirts
- Jackets and sweatshirts are permitted in cooler weather
- Flannel shirts are not allowed. Professional sports logos are not allowed
Hats, Scarves or Caps
- May not be worn in the classrooms
- Hats must have 360 degree brims, and they must be solid colors without logos
- Administration reserves the right to determine inappropriate headwear
Accesories
- Wallet chains are not permitted
- Belts cannot extend more than 3” past the appropriate loop, and cannot contain any initials or insignias
- Sunglasses are not allowed unless prescribed by a doctor
- Spiked or riveted bracelets are not permitted

Q-Can students wear jeans?
A- Yes, jeans are allowed in blue and black colors only.
Q-What type of shirt can they wear?
A-Solid collard shirt in either navy or light blue, or white.
Q-What happens when a student is out of uniform?
A-They are sent to room 205 where they will check out clothing.
